The month of November is dedicated to Work Packages Meetings.

Today, WP 1 members met and discussed the teaching material outcome: the e-Book as an innovative product providing teaching materials, assessment tools, requirements, policies and procedures, and resource materials- such a useful resource to be used by any peer institution.

BrandY – First meeting reuniting experts from prestigious universities.

What a perfect framework meant to start the activities regarding the project final products: e-Book, IP platform, teaching input, a game as an online teaching instrument as well as the dissemination process.

În zilele de 22 și 23 octombrie, 2020 Universitatea din București a fost reprezentată de prof. dr. Magdalena Iordache-Platis și prof. dr. Diana Ioniță la prima întâlnire (online) în cadrul proiectului Erasmus +, cu titlul Experiential education. Interactive/Intensive course of European brand management (brandY).

Proiectul este coordonat de University of Economics, Katowice, Polonia și include  unsprezece parteneri din universități de prestigiu precum: University of Economics, Katowice (Polonia), Université Savoie Mont  Blanc (Franța), Budapest  Gazdasagi Egyetem (Ungaria), Universitatea din Bucuresti (România), Immanuel Kant Baltic  Federal University (Federația Rusă), Universitaria San Pablo-CEU- Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera (Spania), Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen Howest (Belgia), Universidad de Leon (Spania), Università degli Studi di Trento (Italia), Haute École Specialisée de Suisse Occidentale (Elveția), Bauhaus-Universitaet Weimar (Germania).

Componenta internațională valorifică experiența și creativitatea tuturor partenerilor implicați, contribuind astfel la realizarea produselor finale, respectiv: 1) e-Book conținând materiale didactice, instrumente de evaluare, politici și proceduri , alături de un bogat pachet de alte resurse didactice; 2) ghiduri cu instrucțiuni pentru studenți si profesori cuprinzând regulile jocului ca instrument de predare online; 3) platforma IT ca instrument de planificare, implementare și evaluare a întregului proces de predare/învățare; 4) Diseminarea ca mijloc de promovare a produselor finale ale proiectului.

Originalitatea proiectului constă în combinarea armonioasă a teoriei cu practica în sfera managementului de marcă. Platforma dezvoltată va fi un instrument interactiv care va permite accesul studenților la numeroase resurse de învățare: cursul, e-Book, e-Book, materiale video, puzzles, quizzes, ghiduri cu instrucțiuni practice etc.

Scopul întâlnirii din octombrie, 2020 a fost acela de a evidenția principalele pachete și grupuri de lucru, desemnarea responsabilităților pentru fiecare dintre participanți și stabilirea unui calendar de lucru (întâlnirile transnaționale și sesiunile de program intensiv).

Beneficiarii acestui demers sunt pe de-o parte studenții (procesul de învațare și  șansele la angajare) și profesorii (dezvoltarea unui model inovativ de predare și crearea de conținuturi de predare atractive în domeniul managementului de marcă), iar pe de altă parte, angajatorii (din mediul privat sau public) dornici să angajeze tineri din spațiul european, experți în marketing și management de marcă.

Spiritul de echipă, profesionalismul, schimbul de experiență între partenerii implicați în acest proiect oferă un cadru interdisciplinar de lucru. Toate acestea, precum și implicarea profesorilor cu experiență în diverse domenii, a cercetătorilor și a experților în marketingul internațional conferă proiectului un nivel ridicat de valoare așteptată a rezultatelor finale.

Project description

Experiential education. Interactive/Intensive course of European brand management (brandY) is an Erasmus+ project with the main objective to design, implement and test an innovative experiential learning instrument to train management (more specifically marketing) students for their better employability. Team spirit, professionalism, the exchange of experience between the 11 partners involved in this endeavor provide the project with an interdisciplinary working framework reuniting professors with expertise in various fields, researchers, students and experts in international marketing, brand management, new technologies and gamificication. The result of the project will be the experiential based, interactive IP study module from the area of international brand management. It will use the game based scenario to increasing the effectiveness of teaching and involvement of the students. It will be available on internet platform together with the support. The teaching module BrandY will strongly impact the teaching the brand management strategies giving the students and teachers possibility to improve the skills needed on the job market.

The specific goals of the project are:

  • To introduce the concept of game based experiential teaching as a way to increase the competences of the students and for a better employability
  • To improve the academics’ teaching skills and competences in marketing
  • To increase the knowledge of the students in area of international brand management but also intercultural management
  • To invite the SMEs to be part of university programme development
  • To increase mobility of the students from the partner universities, both during the project but also due to dissemination the project outputs.
  • To enlarge the international cooperation among the partner universities.

 

Project activities:

The main activities undertaken in the project are described according to 4 work packages
WP 1: Developing innovative and interactive teaching materials and content.
WP 2: Learning Instrument Guidelines, Procedures and Handbooks for students and teachers to easily implement the course into their practice.
WP 3: IT platform and interactive game dashboard – gamification of the teaching materials.

The beneficiaries of this project are on the one hand the university students (in terms of learning and chances of employability) and teachers (in terms of developing an online curriculum using this new model of online teaching/learning brand management), on the other hand employers and public institutions interested in employing young European brand management experts.

 

Partners:

University of Economics in Katowice, Poland is the leader of this international project.
