9th Bucharest Colloquium of Language Acquisition
Second call for papers
The Center for the Study of Language Development and Linguistic Communication, University of Bucharest, has the pleasure to organize the 9th Bucharest Colloquium of Language Acquisition, on November 14 – 15, 2025, in hybrid format (on-site and online).
BUCLA’s central theme revolves around experimental research on language acquisition and learning. The colloquium creates an opportunity for researchers and doctoral candidates to present their work on various topics that encompass monolingual, bilingual and heritage language acquisition, language attrition as well as L2 and L3 learning.

Abstract submission
We invite one-page abstract submissions (TNR 12, single-spaced, 1-inch margins), with an additional page for examples, figures and references, for 30 minute oral presentations (20 minutes for the presentation, 10 minutes for discussions). Abstracts must be in English and they should be anonymous. Author’s name and affiliation and e-mail for correspondence should be included. Please specify if your abstract is intended for the main session or for the workshop and if you plan on participating in person or online.

Publication:
All authors who present at the conference will be invited to submit a paper for a volume of selected contributions
